AIPC Annual Conference

Palais des Congrès de Paris

24-25th September 2020

An invaluable feature of AIPC is the sense of community which in turn is part of a global meetings industry ecosystem. Now more than ever, this sense of community is needed to jointly address the challenges we are facing, as a result of Covid-19.
The 2020 AIPC Annual Conference will be the perfect place to do so – and because we want to reach as many members as possible, the 2020 edition will be a hybrid one, combining on site and virtual.

The focus will be on sharing and learning from each other while gleaning important insights from clients, global observers and thought leaders to help put everything in context and provide practical applications. This year’s Conference in Paris will combine the very best of these elements, with a theme that addresses some of our greatest challenges today and a location that is in itself a demonstration of how a city can evolve in the face of new global reality and changing expectations from its citizens.

Our theme of “Re-Generation” will examine the many ways in which our industry must re-imagine the kinds of facilities and services we offer today while at the same time exploring how we must strengthen and advance our organizational structures in the face of changing customer requirements. To do this, we will be both seeking the benefit of similar experiences in other sectors and mobilizing the expertise of our own members in formats that will not just inform but engage and challenge delegates to develop collective strategies alongside those that will meet their own immediate needs.

As a city in full re-birth, Paris will not only complement this theme but in many ways illustrate how these issues are evolving. Leading the way in the wave of cities becoming future ready, this energetic capital will create an extraordinary learning experience - while our host facility the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild situated in the heart of the city, will opens its doors for you in a majestic setting.

As your AIPC President, I like to invite you and your key centre staff to join us for an engaging experience. As always, our exclusive focus on the needs and opportunities of centres will make this one of the most efficient means available to get the latest information and insights in those areas that mean the most to us – a critical investment in the knowledge and networking.

Make your plans now to attend this important event. I look forward to sharing this experience with you in Paris.

Aloysius Arlando
President, AIPC
